plotmoth is a done-with-you service that turns an author's idea into a finished, publish-ready serialized series. This page explains what happens to the information you share when you apply. Plain language, no dark patterns.
What I collect
When you submit the application form, I collect:
- Your email address — so I can reply to you.
- Your answers — the story idea you describe, where you want to publish, your writing stage, and your budget range.
That's it. There is no account, no password, and no tracking cookies on this site — including the analytics (see below).
Why I collect it
Solely to review your application and, if it looks like a fit, to get back to you. The budget question also helps me understand demand. I do not use your story idea for anything other than evaluating your application, and I don't share it or publish it.
Where it goes
- A database in the EU. Your application is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database provisioned with EU jurisdiction, so the data stays in the European Union.
- An instant notification. So I notice new applications quickly, a short notice is sent to a private Discord channel. That notice is intentionally limited to your budget, chosen platform, writing stage, and email — your story text is not sent to Discord; it stays only in the EU database.
The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile (a privacy-friendly anti-spam check that uses no tracking cookies).
Analytics
To understand how many people visit and where they come from, I use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is privacy-first and uses no cookies: it does not fingerprint you, does not track you across sites, and reports only aggregate, anonymous figures (page views, referrers, country). No personal profile is built, and this data is not linked to your application.
How long I keep it
I keep applications only as long as needed to evaluate them and follow up. If your application doesn't lead anywhere, you can ask me to delete it at any time.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct, or delete your data, or to withdraw consent. To do any of these, email hello@plotmoth.com and I'll take care of it.
